I have had the pleasure of working with Felicia Slayton for over 2 years. Felicia was chosen to write curriculum for English Language Arts and Reading in Fort Bend Independent School District. In her time as a curriculum writer, she created documents to aid teachers during both whole group and small group instruction. Most recently, her curriculum work revolved around creating intervention lessons to move students along a learning progression.
Mrs. Slayton’s vast knowledge of best practices in ELAR instruction benefited the entire district. She is a joy to work with, turns assignments in on time, strives to know more and do better, as well as always maintains a professional attitude.

Mrs. Felicia Slayton is an amazing educator, coworker, woman of faith and on and on. I have had the privilege and honor of working beside her for six plus years. During that time, we have served on some of the same committees where I was able to witness her dedication and work ethic. She developed researched, TEK based curriculum activities for Fort Bend ISD. Many of those activities are used everyday by many K-2 teachers. She is an amazing tutor. She strives to help them across learning barriers and at the same time take some ownership for their learning. I highly recommend her for any position.
